Walkway Transformation: A Cracked Path Rebuilt to Last

When and How to Prune Lavender
If your lavender just finished its first bloom, now is exactly the time to prune it. Cut back about a third of the plant, always just above the green growth, never into the older woody stems. Lavender doesn't grow back from old wood, so that second part matters more than people expect.
Pro Tip

Not sure where green growth ends and old wood begins? Cut higher than you think you need to. A plant pruned too lightly bounces back fine. A plant cut into old wood doesn't.
